Privacy Policy

handles personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Last updated:

01 What we collect

Account details (name, email, password hash), delivery details (recipient name, address, phone), order and payment history, support messages, and technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages viewed.

We do not collect your full card number. Card data is entered directly into our payment provider and never touches our servers.

02 Why we collect it

To create and secure your account, take payment, deliver your order, provide tracking updates, handle returns and complaints, meet tax and record-keeping obligations, prevent fraud, and — only if you opt in — send you marketing.

03 Who we share it with

We disclose the minimum necessary to: payment providers (to charge and refund you), carriers and logistics partners (to deliver your parcel), our fulfilment partners (to pick, pack and dispatch your order), email and hosting providers, and professional advisers or regulators where the law requires.

Some of these providers are located overseas, which means your information may be stored or processed outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure they protect it to a comparable standard.

We never sell your personal information.

04 Cookies

We use cookies to keep you signed in, remember your cart and language, and measure how the site is used. You can block cookies in your browser, but the cart and checkout will not work correctly without them.

05 How long we keep it

Order and tax records are kept for at least five years as required by Australian law. Other account data is kept while your account is open and for a reasonable period afterwards.

06 Security

Traffic is encrypted with TLS, passwords are stored only as salted hashes, and administrative access is restricted and logged. No system is perfectly secure, but we will notify you and the OAIC if an eligible data breach occurs.

07 Your rights

You may ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw marketing consent at any time, or ask us to delete your account. Email yumyum.gyoza.house@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
